Rabbi Moshe works hard to make every Bar Mitzvah a thoughtful and impactful event in a 13 year old boys life. By meeting one on one with each Bar Mitzvah student, he can understand their individual preferences and needs. Whether they choose to read a part of the Torah Portion, the entire portion or the Haftorah, Rabbi Moshe’s goal remains consistent: to impart a deeper understanding of what it means to become a Bar Mitzvah and to have pride in their Jewish heritage.Teaching beyond the Torah portion is essential, as it helps the boys see the relevance of Jewish teachings in their everyday lives. Rabbi Moshe’s emphasis on connecting with the boys, visiting their homes, and meeting them where they are at ensures that the lessons are relatable and meaningful.
Encouraging families to contact him a year before their sons Bar Mitzvah allows for thoughtful planning and preparation. However, Rabbi Moshe’s flexibility with time frames ensures that every boy receives the guidance and support they need, whenever they begin their journey toward Bar Mitzvah.
